Caroline Jones Biography

A native of Lebanon, New Jersey, Caroline Jones has earned both Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Michigan and a Master of Music degree from Rice University.

Her major teachers include Kathleen Winkler, Paul Kantor, and Andrew Jennings. Caroline has participated in various music festivals such as Aspen, Tanglewood, the Pacific Music Festival, National Repertory Orchestra, the Grand Teton Music Festival, and Sun Valley Summer Symphony. She has also been a member of the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra since 2002.

From 1999 to 2000, she was Concertmaster of the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida, and was a member of the first violin section of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO) for their 2000-2001 season. Caroline frequently substitutes with both the MSO and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras, accompanying them on their domestic and international tours.

Caroline was a faculty member at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music from 2000-2004 and is currently part of the applied faculty at Carroll College, teaching and directing violin, viola, string techniques, and the chamber strings ensemble.
