Who would you love to work with in a future musical collaboration (conductors, guest artists) who you have not previously worked with?

I've been fortunate to work with so many great conductors and guest artists through the decades, and I look forward to more exciting musical collaborations in the future.

Can you share any memorable stories about your experience with the Grant Park Music Festival?

We were about to play Mahler's 5th Symphony at our former home, the Petrillo Shell, when an awful storm broke loose.  We delayed starting about 20 minutes until the rain died down somewhat and only about 10 people were left in the audience.  However, it was a GREAT performance and those left in the audience gave us a standing ovation. One of them was my visiting mother who thought it was one of the finest concerts she'd ever heard.

What’s on your playlist at the moment?

Mahler, Daugherty Tuba Concerto, Pink Floyd, and the Doors

Any hobbies?

Swimming, biking, reading
