PLAN AN EVENT TO REMEMBER

When a Chicago businessman decided to throw a surprise birthday party for his wife, he reached out to Lou Ann Hayes, the Festival’s group sales associate, to help organize the perfect celebration for 50 of the couple’s family and friends.

Lou Ann reserved prime seating for the group and helped with the distribution of seating passes and gift bags for the guests as they arrived at the Pavilion on the night of the concert. Birthday parties aren’t the only celebrations that Lou Ann has helped to plan. When New Yorkers Rhonda Belluso and Conor Bambrick got married in Millennium Park on July 4th, Lou Ann worked with the couple to plan the post-ceremony activities: exclusive seats close to the stage for the Festival’s Independence Day Salute, conducted by the one and only Christopher Bell.

Lou Ann works with corporate groups to ensure that events go smoothly for her clients, assisting with pre-concert receptions and coordinating the groups’ seats in the choral balcony. She helps educators plan field trips for their students, alumni groups organize summer outings, and guarantees seats close to the stage when friends come to see their favorite guest artists.

Lou Ann’s background in convention sales and hospitality has helped her to anticipate the needs of her clients. On the night of a concert, you might see her meeting buses of seniors on Randolph Street and escorting them to their seats, or checking on social groups hosting a pre-concert reception. Her attention to detail has groups returning time and again, often several times in a season.

With bold, artistically-inspired music performed by a world-class orchestra and chorus and a breathtaking outdoor concert space as a backdrop, an evening at the Grant Park Music Festival is a perfect way to gather with family and friends, work associates or social groups. For groups of ten or more, assistance from Lou Ann Hayes can help manage all of the details for a special event to exceed all expectations.
