Mortimer and Della Wells, will be available for sale at the Grant Park Music Festival's performances of Beethoven's masterpiece, Symphony No. 9 on Friday, August 18 at 6:30 PM and Saturday, August 19 at 7:30 PM at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Electric Angel celebrates Chicago's Grant Park Music Festival, Beethoven, the blues, buskers, the 'L' train, and poet Carl Sandburg. Using poetic devices and verbal imagery, the book describes the wonder of the Big City through the eyes of a young girl. Mortimer lived in Chicago with her family for 15 years and drew from Grant Park Music Festival memories with her girls to write this poetic story. All three of her daughters are music lovers and violin players.

Carlos Kalmar will conduct the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus in one of the best-known works in classical music, Beethoven Symphony No. 9, culminating in the famous movement, "Ode to Joy."
