Curtis Institute of Music-and frankly, I was learning on the job while I was a member of both The Philadelphia Orchestra and The Boston Symphony Orchestra

What do you love most about your instrument?

It’s my voice.

What would you be if you were not a musician?

Probably an Arts Administrator for an orchestra or music conservatory

If you could sit down and chat with any musical figure (dead or alive) who would it be?

Mozart! He seems like he was a funny guy. I’d like to have him, my 5 year old daughter and 4 year old son in the same room. I imagine hide and seek games, games at the piano, much leaping off furniture…torturing the dog together…

What are you reading at the moment?

Whatever I need to for work. (I’m Head of Strings at Roosevelt University). Reading a lot of kids books at bedtime (lots of Disney stories).
