The Grant Park Music Festival offers classical music in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. A variety of other music events hosted by the City of Chicago and other organizations occur throughout the summer in both Millennium Park and Grant Park to the south. Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz
The celebrated Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz series features Chicago’s leading jazz artists across the spectrum of jazz—from Latin to Big Band to experimental sounds—and includes world premiere commissions, international collaborations and centennial celebrations. It is presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, the Jazz Institute of Chicago and Millennium Park.
Every Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz concert kicks off with a short set by young, aspiring musicians from Chicago-area high schools as part of the Jazz Institute of Chicago’s Jazz Links Student Ensembles.
Lollapalooza

¡Viva! Chicago Latin Music Festival
This vibrant Latin music festival showcases local, national and international talent in the various Latin music genres that include salsa, reggaeton, mariachi, norteña, Spanish pop y más.
Chicago Jazz Festival
The longest running of the city's lakefront music festivals. For the past 30 year's, the Chicago Jazz Festival has been a Labor Day weekend tradition taking place September 2-4, 2011.
Celtic Fest Chicago
Celtic Fest Chicago on May 14-15, 2011 features the music of the seven Celtic nations. Those nations are Ireland; Scotland; Isle of Man; Cornwall; Wales; Galicia, Spain; and Brittany, France. The festival also highlightes different Celtic instruments such as the Harp and the Uilleann Pipe, which is the Irish bagpipe worked by pumping air into it with an elbow.
Taste of Chicago
Chicago’s tremendous array of culinary delights are located in one place at the ten-day lakefront festival where food choices range from ethnic to exotic to Chicago specialties.
Chicago Gospel Music Festival
The Gospel Music Festival will take place June 4 and 5, 2011 in Millennium Park. The festival features more than 50 performances on three stages and activities for the whole family to enjoy including a gospel art fair.
Chicago Blues Festival
The Chicago Blues Festival is the largest free blues festival in the world and remains the largest of Chicago's Music Festivals. From June 10-12, 2011 on five stages, more than 640,000 blues fans prove that Chicago is the "Blues Capital of the World." Past performers include Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, B.B. King, the late Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy and the late Koko Taylor.
Music Without Borders at Millennium Park
In its sixth year, the wildly popular free international music series features traditional folk and pop artists from around the globe.
