Chicago's Grant Park Music Festival "Advocate for the Arts Awards" Benefit Raises Over $370,000 to Help Underwrite the Artistic and Community Engagement Activities of Festival Connect >
The Grant Park Music Festival raised more than $370,000 at its signature fundraising event, the Advocate for the Arts Awards Benefit, on Monday, September 12th at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park.

Grant Park Music Festival Opening Night Concert To Go On As Scheduled Wednesday, June 15 at 6:30 PM >
The Grant Park Orchestral Association (GPOA) and the Chicago Federation of Musicians (CFM), Local 10-208, reached a tentative settlement for a three-year collective bargaining agreement. The opening night of the Grant Park Music Festival’s 82nd season, will go on as planned at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park.

Grant Park Music Festival Continues its Commitment to "Festival Connect" >
This summer, the Grant Park Music Festival renews its commitment to its comprehensive initiative aimed to increase music education and engagement opportunities for audiences of all ages. Titled Festival Connect, the initiative complements the Festival's ten-week series of free concerts at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, June 15-June 20, 2016.

Four New Appointments to the Board of Directors >
Grant Park Orchestral Association (GPOA) Board Chair Chuck Kierscht has announced the appointments of Amy Boonstra, Chantal E. Forster, Andrew Gajary, and Brian Sedlak to the Association’s Board of Directors. The four new board members will each serve a three-year term.The Association also announces the appointment of three new staff members.

New Orchestra and Chorus Members >
The Grant Park Orchestra welcomes new members Su Hyun Park, Colin Corner, Jon McCullough-Benner, Hanah Stuart, Elizabeth Breslin and Marlea Simpson; Chorus Members Bethany Hamilton Clearfield, Lindsey Adams, Cassidy Smith, Tyler Lee, Woo Chan Lee, John Ordula join in 2016.

One Night Passes On Sale >
One Night Passes, starting at $25, will go on sale Tuesday, May 3 at 10 a.m. Patrons can call 312.742.7647 or go online and select their own seats. Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar and Chorus Director Christopher Bell will lead the award-winning Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus in a ten-week season that runs through August 20. Most concerts are Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.
