2008 GPMF Rehearsals Schedule

Hear how the music comes to life…

This summer, in addition to free public performances, the Grant Park Music Festival will be offering more than 40 Open Rehearsals in Millennium Park.

Bring a Group to an Open Rehearsal
Day-time rehearsals are a great way to introduce children or other groups to the excitement of classical music. Special private docent talks can be arranged for groups of 10 or more for no cost.

Call Tony Macaluso at (312) 744.9179 or write to tony.macalusot@cityofchicago.org to arrange a group visit.

Attend a free Open Rehearsal…

…sit in some of the best seats in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion (and enjoy lunch or a snack)

…experience how conductors and musicians bring a piece of music to life right before your eyes and ears

…listen to entertaining and informative chats by our expert Music Docents prior to the start of each rehearsal and during breaks

…enjoy up-close and personal post-rehearsal question-and-answer sessions with the artists after selected rehearsals
