2017 Advocate for the Arts Awards Benefit

The Advocate for the Arts Awards Benefit supports the Grant Park Music Festival's tradition of free concerts and education and community engagement initiatives. Showcased in Millennium Park, the Festival is the free gathering place where people from every neighborhood and all walks of life are connected through the power of music.

The Advocate for the Arts Awards Benefit is a festive evening of musical entertainment – a time to celebrate the achievements of the Grant Park Music Festival’s 83rd season, bringing Chicagoans together through the shared experience of great music. Proceeds from this event play a critical role in the Festival’s ability to present free concerts in Millennium Park, and Festival Connect community engagement initiatives throughout the city. Listeners worldwide enjoy live WFMT radio broadcasts and Internet streaming, where people from every neighborhood and all walks of life are connected through the power of music.

The Advocate for the Arts Awards Benefit will take place on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park. This year we honor civic and arts leader, GINGER MEYER, creator of Millennium Park's "Cloud Gate," ANISH KAPOOR, and THE ARTS CLUB OF CHICAGO for their outstanding contributions to the arts in Chicago.
