Seating Options at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion

With a variety of seating options available, including free seats for every concert, there's a place in the park for you!

The Great Lawn

The Great Lawn

Bring a picnic and a blanket and make yourself at home in Chicago's most spectacular setting—the Great Lawn is free and open to all.

Any outside food or drink, including beer and wine, is welcome in the Pritzker Pavilion during Grant Park Music Festival concerts.

Our orchestra and chorus always perform to the back of the lawn, thanks to a sophisticated audio system that provides quality sound for all.

Please note that the following are NOT permitted on the Great Lawn:

  • Candles, open flames, and/or grills
  • Helium-filled balloons
  • Smoking
  • Animals/pets
  • Tents, flags and/or plastic tarps
  • Staking into the ground

Help make everyone’s experience as enjoyable as possible—if you would like to socialize during the music, please sit towards the back of the Great Lawn.

The Seating Bowl

Seats in the front are reserved for members and One Night Pass holders.

Food and drinks are welcome in the seats but please remember to be considerate of others when dining during the concert. Coolers and picnic baskets must be stored under your seat and cannot block the aisles.

Please note that the following are NOT permitted in the Seating Bowl:

  • Recording devices, both audio and visual (during performances)
  • Balloons, or other visual obstructions (with the exception of umbrellas during inclement weather)
  • Lawn chairs
  • Smoking
  • Candles, open flames, and/or grills
