Auditions for highly qualified singers take place between February and March, prior to the start of the summer season. Due to COVID-19, the Grant Park Music Festival will not be conducting auditions for the 2021 season.
The Grant Park Music Festival’s Project Inclusion Fellowship is a paid training opportunity for BIPOC (black, indigenous, and people of color) singers and string players which aims to prepare young artists to win positions in professional ensembles. Fellows rehearse and perform with the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus, receive mentorship from Festival artistic leadership, musicians, and guest artists; perform chamber music in communities throughout Chicago, and participate in education and community engagement activities.
Please note: Due to the cancellation of the Festival’s 2020 season, the 2020 Project Inclusion Fellows have been offered fellowships for the 2021 season. Any cancellations will be filled through national auditions between February and March 2021. Vacancies and corresponding audition information for highly qualified candidates will be posted on this page as needed. Information for 2022 Project Inclusion Fellowships will be posted in November 2021.
