Volunteer Opportunities

To volunteer for the Grant Park Music Festival's 2017 season, please register for a Volunteer Orientation on either Tuesday May 23, 1 PM-3 PM or Thursday June 1, 6 PM-8 PM. Click here to register.

Orientations take place in the Choral Hall, located on the upper east side of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, 205 E Randolph St, Chicago, IL, 60601.

Festival Volunteers

Festival volunteers welcome and assist patrons at information areas throughout the park during concerts and open rehearsals by distributing program books and audience surveys, answering patrons’ questions, and helping with front of house set-up and clean-up. Volunteers are also invited to assist with projects in the administrative office and at other special events.

Docents

Docents are volunteers who commit to studying detailed aspects of the Festival, Millennium Park, and classical music. Docents attend a series of pre-season learning opportunities and assist with leading discussions at open rehearsals and other events during the summer. Prospective docents must go through an application and interview process to join the program. The application process takes place in the fall each year.

For more information about being a volunteer please contact Joseph Fernicola at joseph.fernicola@gpmf.org.
