Vidita Kanniks, SopranoProject Inclusion Fellows
Ms. Kanniks completed her undergraduate degrees in Vocal Performance and Music History at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and is now pursuing her graduate education in Early Music at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
In recent years Ms. Kanniks has been seen as ‘Emmie’ in the CCM production of Britten’s Albert Herring (2017). She was a recurring soloist with the Cincinnati Bach Ensemble during their 2017-18 season and sang with a number of ensembles including Collegium Cincinnati, the Choir of St. Peter in Chains Cathedral and Coro Volante, a chamber group dedicated to recording and publishing discography by living composers.
During her time at McGill Ms. Kanniks has been a soloist with ensembles including Cappella Antica and the Schulich Singers, and will portray the role of ‘Nunzia’ in the Opera McGill production of La Liberazione di Ruggiero by Francesca Caccini. In addition to singing with the Chicago Grant Park Summer Festival Chorus as a Project Inclusion fellow, Ms. Kanniks will be spending the summer at the Aspen Music Festival as a member of the Seraphic Fire Professional Choral Institute.
