June 19, 2017—The 2017 season continues in July with performances of the popular Independence Day Salute and also includes appearances from guest artists Canadian Brass for a celebration of Canada's 150th Birthday and Broadway stars Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana for a night of romantic Broadway songs.

June 13, 2017—On August 12 at 6 PM, the Grant Park Music Festival will echo an elegant French tradition in hosting a free, themed picnic on the Millennium Park Great Lawn before an evening of Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, and a world premiere by Aaron J. Kernis.

June 2, 2017—Festival Connect is the Grant Park Music Festival's initiative to increase community engagement and music education. The programs include summer camp music immersion days, young artist performance opportunities, and a collaboration with Mayor Emanuel's Night Out in the Parks program.

April 27, 2017—The 2017 Season will open with Vadim Gluzman playing Tchaikovsky. Also featured in the June schedule are Beethoven's Symphony No. 4, Stravinsky Firebird, and Sierra's Missa Latina. The Festival continues the traditions of opening lunchtime rehearsals to the public and providing free musical education opportunities with pre-concert lectures.

Grant Park Music Festival's "Project Inclusion" Program Expands to Include Vocal Quartet >

March 16, 2017—Project Inclusion is a one-year fellowship program awarding gifted young musicians with unique professional opportunities. The Project Inclusion Vocal Fellowship program will accompany the Project Inclusion String Fellowship program, now in its fifth year.
