The Grant Park Music Festival is a ten-week classical music concert series held annually in Chicago, Illinois’ Millennium Park.

It features the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus, along with guest performers and conductors, and is one of the only free outdoor classical-music concert series in the US.

Concert Preview offers a variety of activities for people of all ages, including Pre-Concert Talks, children's programming, and the Young Artist Showcase.

Pre-Concert Talks


Go beyond the stage with the Pre-Concert Talks featuring informal conversations with composers and guest artists.

Time: 60 minutes prior to start of concert

Family Activities

Concert Preview features family activities prior to select concerts throughout the summer.

July 4: Join us at the East Concession Pad for family fun activities including face painting and airbrush tattoos starting at 6:00 PM.

July 22: CircEsteem Chicago will be performing throughout Millennium Park starting at 5:00 PM.

Young Artist Showcase

The Young Artist Showcase is a performance series featuring music students from area parks and music schools.
