Description

The Grant Park Music Festival celebrates Chicago's own—Gospel music—an art form that emerged from Black churches on the city's South Side. Playing a set of charts commissioned by the Festival, conductor and arranger Charles Floyd leads Soul Children of Chicago with the Grant Park Orchestra in music by Albertina Walker, Thomas Dorsey and more.
