Program Notes

Description

A tantalizing program with classic Mendelssohn played alongside two dynamic contemporary composers: Chicago-based Mischa Zupko and the U.K.'s Judith Weir, the first woman in history to serve as Master of the Queen's Music. Carlos Kalmar welcomes the return of the Grant Park Chorus along with acclaimed poet and narrator Natalie Rose Richardson. The program also features Chicago-area youngsters: Anima - Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus.
