Ludwig van Beethoven: Symphony No. 1

Description

Carlos Kalmar conducts a program of music by the classical master Haydn and his begrudging student Beethoven—two great musical personalities (perhaps too great to be sitting around one piano). The program features Beethoven's First Symphony and the renowned Grant Park Chorus in Haydn's rarely performed Nicolai Mass. The concert opens with a piece by Chicago favorite Anna Clyne.
