Carmina Burana: 2025 Blockbuster Season Finale

Oh, I know that music! It’s, it’s…on the tip of my tongue.

It’s the soundtrack for dozens of commercials and movies.

It’s deployed to capture a sense of foreboding. A sense of triumph. And even a sense of humor.

It’s the epic and powerful Carmina Burana, Carl Orff’s dramatic cantata that explores fate, love, drinking and fortune. No wonder this masterpiece has become a musical icon and audience favorite.

For decades, Carmina Burana has been a defining force in these movies:

  • Excalibur -1981
  • Glory – 1989
  • The Doors - 1991
  • The Hunt for Red October – 1990
  • Natural Born Killers – 1994
  • Detroit Rock City – 1999
  • Cheaper by the Dozen – 2003
  • G-Force - 2009

Don’t miss Carmina Burana, performed live by the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus, three world-class soloists, Uniting Voices Children’s Chorus, led by Maestro Giancarlo Guerrero at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, August 15 and 16. What a spectacular end to a blockbuster season.

Feel the grandeur and power with reserved seats close to the stage.
