Welcome from Giancarlo Guerrero

Dear Music Lovers,

I am so excited to share the 2026 season of the Grant Park Music Festival with you.

This year’s Festival will be a non-stop celebration of outstanding music performed by our world-class orchestra and chorus and many of the greatest soloists of our time.

To mark the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding, we will present works by American composers, as well as those who found refuge in the United States, who wrote significant repertoire in this country, and were influenced by its foundational ideals.

Our season also includes music with significant ties to Chicago, such as Prokofiev’s Third Piano Concerto and Corigliano’s First Symphony, both of which premiered in this city. Throughout the season, we invite you to experience the breadth and richness of the American musical landscape.

As always, the Grant Park Music Festival remains free and open to all, ensuring that everyone—whether a lifelong classical music fan or someone new to the genre—can enjoy these remarkable concerts. I hope you’ll join us this summer for an unforgettable season filled with discovery, beauty and inspiration.

Thank you for being a part of the Grant Park Music Festival community. I cannot wait to see you in June.

Warmly,

Giancarlo Guerrero
