Out of the Golden Age of Hollywood comes a gem of a violin concerto by the pioneering film composer Erich Korngold. The Dutch virtuoso violinist Simone Lamsma makes her Festival debut. Also, David Danzmayr conducts the stormy Symphony No. 1 by Johannes Brahms.
